Bryan Baker, Jared Hess, Alexander Shlemenko and Eric Schambari all advanced to the semifinals of the Bellator middleweight season 2 tournament with wins at Kansas City, Mo. In Bellator 16, Baker won by TKO over Sean Loeffler in the first round, and Hess submitted Ryan McGivern with a guillotine in the second round. Shlemenko won by unanimous decision over Matt Major, and Schambari pulled off the Von Flue choke on Luke Zachrich in the first round.
