GSP might lose because he thinks he is to good to get beat and he is also to cocky. once you hit that stage thats when you start losing you grip.

Shields has little to no chance. His strength is wrestling and nobody takes St Pierre down. St Pierre will probably rock him off and on from standing and get a couple takedowns himself to win another unanimous decision. good luck Shields…ur gonna need it!
LOL, ‘KAB’ does not no what the fuck he/she is talking about. GSP cocky? Have you ever heard an interview. GSP said that Shields is going to be his most dangerous opponent, and has been praising Shields abilities. On the other hand, GSP is a champion he fights to win. Confidence and cockiness are two WAY different things.
GSP is not cocky, look at the fighters with Greg Jackson, they are all dominant. I dont think Shields should have won that decision over Kappmann. The guys is not so good.

Jake Shields will obviosly try to get it to the ground, but GSP is more of a complete fighter and will dominate. I think Shields should try to stand with GSP in order to improve his striking, He can’t always rely on his BJJ or what he likes to call it ‘American ji Jitsu’ lol

Shields has much greater chance at submitting GSP then anybody else that GSP has fought, because, he’s a several times over world champan! Just Like Damian Maia, they are fish on the ground of water, if GSP goes to the ground thinking he can out maneuver one of the world’s top grappler’s then he’ll get ran through like Shields did Fitch at one of BJJ tournaments. GSP needs to play the Anderson Silva method, keep in the standing as he did it with Damian Maia. Nevertheless, if Shields endurance was as pathetic as it was in his day bue – GSP can mow the lawn with him. You need GSP wind to fight GSP. I like GSP, he usually has an excellent game plan, we’ll see what comes of this one!
GSP does execute his game plan well but if you were going to criticize him it would have to be for the fact that he hasn’t finished a fight since Matt Serra. It’s becoming all too monotonous watching it go to decision.
On the other hand, Shields of course has a chance to win the fight, it’s MMA after all.
I believe GSP will win the fight, but I would really like to see him put in some difficult spots. If Shields were to win, it would be a great upset.

I think it will be a stand-up war not a ground war. GSP always fights guys where they are weakest. GSP will knock Jake out, superman punch, 3rd round, 1 min 50 sec left.

Although, I would like to see Shields win! It would be hotter to see GSP win in order to FACE THE SPIDER “ANDERSON SILVA” at the end of 2011. Talk about UFC Climax!!! That’s what I want see happen by the end of the year! GSP belt then will be relinquished, leaving BJ PENN to stomp a mud hole in Fitch! And then, have BJ Penn defend the belt against SHIELDS – NOW WE ARE TALKING WORLD CHAMPION BJJ MATCH OFF THAT NEVER HAPPENED IN THE BJJ TOURNAMENT. My money is on BJ Penn beating Shields! i think its funny how people hate so much….GSP and Shields are both great fighters. GSP is not cocky, and isn’t getting cocky, he is still as humble as ever. With the way he worded what he said, it sounds cocky but no he is not. Shields is also a phenomenal person, great work ethic and also has a good image. Both these guys are great “poster boys”. BUT I KNOW for a FACT that GSP will win, mainly…..more experience in the octagon, has defended his title many times. And has one more essential tool….STRIKING. All shields can do is strike and TRY to put GSP on his back. Then again I could be WAY off. Shileds can take him down and sub him. We just don’t know. But at this moment the advantage goes to GSP. We’ll see come fight night.

All respect to Shields but he doesn’t have half of GSP’s chin. Look at Shields’ fight against Dan Henderson: 1st round two times on the floor. What saved him is Henderson didn’t knew what to do with Shields on the floor.

oper8a: UGHHH WRONG – Last time I checked GSP finished/stoped/EMBARESSED BJ Penn. As for him not “finishing” fights, well hes fought the WORLDS BEST WW’s, OWNED & EMBARESSED them all, especially Fitch, the only reason Fitch was still standing was b/c his chin is made out of granite, but check out his face after the fight, looked like he got jumped by 3 guys with bats. He turned Alves face into Hamburger Meat & threw him around like he was a child, even when Alves weighed 20-30lbs more than GSP, not to mention GSP tore his abductor in the 4th round. Didnt GSP break Koscheck’s face – literally?!? (Broken orbital bone & fractured cheek or jaw), it was so badly broken Koscheck wasnt aloud to fly, so the UFC had him driven in a car to Boston for surgery. I see Jake Shields has won his last 3 fights by decision, eventhough he didnt beat Kampmann but whatever, he hasnt finished anyone in 2 yrs, so its not like Shields is finishing people left right & center, yet he hasnt fought the quality of fighters GSP has either.
