The first ever event to take place on FX is set to happen in January and two fights have been added.
Two months away and the card has already started to take form. UFC official made the announcement today that two fights have already been added to the card. A venue and location have yet to be determined.
Welterweights Josh “The Dentist” Neer (32-10-1) and Duane “Bang” Ludwig (22-11) as well as heavyweights Christian Morecraft (7-2) and Pat Barry (6-4) have verbally agreed to fight in the new year.
Neer had stepped away from the UFC for two years, before making his return in October at UFC live on Versus 6 where he defeated Keith Wisniewski via second round doctor stoppage. The veteran fighter is now 7-1 over his past eight fights, and his lone loss came to Bellator champ Eddie Alvarez in a non-title fight.
Ludwig is currently 2-2 with the UFC, losing his first two bouts with the organization. His most recent victory comes over TUF 7 champ, Amir Sodallah via unanimous judges decision.
Heavyweight fighter, Barry, has gone 1-3 in his last four bouts with the UFC and may be on the verge of unemployment if things do not turn around for the former K-1 fighter. Barry has dropped his last two fights to Cheick Kongo via KO and Stefan Struve via triangle choke.
Barry takes on the hard-hitting Morecraft, who looks to rebound from a second-round knockout loss to Matt Mitrione at UFC on Versus 4.
