New Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (8-1 MMA, 7-0 SF) is slated to fight UFC veteran Keith Jardine (17-9-2 MMA, 0-0-1 SF) on a January 7 Strikeforce card.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has confirmed Strikeforce has reserved the 4,000-seat The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Rockhold would e fighting for the first time since a victory over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza at “Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov” in September.
Ex-UFC veteran Jardine, has recently moved down to middleweight, earning a 2-0-1 run over his past three fights that includes an April draw with Gegard Mousasi.
