    Yasubey Enomoto signs with M-1 Global; replaces Rashid Magomedov in welterweight title fight

    Yasubey Enomoto (6-2 MMA) has signed with M-1 Global and will replace an injured Rashid Magomedov in a welterweight title bout against reigning champion Shamil Zavurovat (14-1 MMA) M-1 Challenge 25 on April 28 at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia.

    The event will also feature a light heavyweight title confrontation between Viktor Nemkov (10-2 MMA) and UFC veteran Vinny Magalhaes (7-5, 1 NC MMA).

    Also at 205 pounds, Mikhail Zayats (13-5 MMA) will lock horns with Malik Merad (10-6 MMA).

    Rounding out the main card will be a middleweight affair featuring two UFC veterans as Andrei Semenov (29-9-2) goes up against Luigi Fioravanti (22-8 MMA).

    Sengoku's Dec. 30 "Soul of Fight" event adds grand-prix bouts, notables to lineup

    A host of fights and participants today were announced for World Victory Road/Sengoku's year-end event, "Soul of Fight."

    The event takes place Dec. 30 at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, and the night's MMA lineup concludes an all-day martial-arts festival.

    Confirmed bouts include a Yasubey Enomoto (6-1 MMA, 3-0 SRC) vs. Keita Nakamura (20-4-2 MMA, 2-0 SRC) welterweight grand-prix finale, as well as Asian bantamweight grand-prix semifinals of Manabu Inoue (11-5-1 MMA, 1-0 SRC) vs. Shunichi Shimizu (18-6-9 MMA, 1-0 SRC) and Akitoshi Tamura (15-9-2 MMA, 1-0 SRC) vs. Taiyo Nakahara (11-6 MMA, 1-0 SRC).

    The event is expected to air in North America on HDNet.

    Although opponents were not announced, additional fighters were confirmed for the card, including Akihiro Gono (32-16-7 MMA, 3-2 SRC), Kazuo Misaki (22-11-2 MMA, 3-3 SRC), Maximo Blanco (7-2-1 MMA, 5-1 SRC), Hiroshi Izumi (3-1 MMA, 3-1 SRC), Yoshihiro Nakao (9-2 MMA, 3-1 SRC), Masanori Kanehara (15-7-5 MMA, 4-2 SRC) and Kazunori Yokota (11-4-3 MMA, 5-3 SRC).
