Pickett-Easton, Brimage-McGregor set for UFC on Fuel TV 9 in Sweden
A pair of fights has been added to April's UFC on FUEL TV 9 card in Sweden.
Brad Pickett (22-7 MMA, 2-2 UFC) meets Mike Easton (13-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in a bantamweight matchup, while promotional newcomer Conor McGregor (12-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a highly touted two-division champion for Cage Warriors, makes his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage (6-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) in a featherweight bout. UFC officials on Thursday confirmed the fights through Swedish MMA site Kimura.se.
UFC on FUEL TV 9 takes place April 6 at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm. Headlining the event is a light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi. The event's main card airs on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.
Pickett will be looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss at UFC 155 to Eddie Wineland that set him back a bit in the bantamweight pack. That loss snapped a two-fight win streak for the former WEC standout. In September, he picked up a "Knockout of the Night" bonus after dropping Yves Jabouin with one punch, befitting his "One Punch" nickname, at UFC on FUEL TV 5 in his home country of England.
Easton will be looking for a return to the win column, as well, after having his eight-fight win streak snapped in December with a unanimous decision loss to Raphael Assuncao at UFC on FOX 5. Before that, he won his first three bouts with a TKO of Byron Bloodworth and decision wins over Jared Papazian and Ivan Menjivar.
McGregor, from Ireland, is coming off a first-round knockout of Ivan Buchinger at Cage Warriors 51 on New Year's Eve to win that promotion's lightweight title. He already had the 145-pound belt following a second-round submission of Dave Hill at Cage Warriors 47 this past June. McGregor owns eight straight wins, and all 12 of his career victories have come by stoppage – with 11 by knockout.
Brimage in September won his fourth straight and improved to 3-0 in the UFC with a unanimous decision win over Jimy Hettes at UFC 152. The "TUF 14" cast member has all three of his UFC wins by decision.

UFC on Fuel 3 adds Yves Jabouin vs. Mike Easton
The latest announced bout is a bantamweight showdown between Yves Jabouin and Mike Easton at UFC on Fuel TV 3.
Jabouin (17-7) had a difficult time ramping things up as a featherweight on the Zuffa roster, going 1-3 in his four 145-pound bouts from the company, but he hit the ground running when he dropped down a weight class.
In his bantamweight debut, Jabouin defeated Ian Loveland at UFC 134 in Rio and followed that up by notching a win over Walel Watson at UFC 140 in Toronto.
Easton (12-1) defeated fighters like former WEC champion Chase Beebe and TUF 14 winner John Dodson in his pre-Zuffa days, immediately adding two more victories since emerging in the Octagon late last year. Easton is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak.
UFC on FUEL TV 3 takes play May 15 in Fairfax, Va., likely at the city's Patriot Center.Source: www.mmaweekly.com

UFC on FX 1: Easton vs. Papazian, Schilling vs. Pineda added to card
As previously announced, Ken Stone (10-3) has been scratched from next week's UFC on FX 1 event.
In his place steps newcomer Jared Papazian (14-6), who meets fellow bantamweight Mike Easton (11-1) in a main-card bout.
In addition to that fight, UFC officials today confirmed that Daniel Pineda (15-7) will meet fellow featherweight newcomer Pat Schilling (5-0) on the night's preliminary card.
Papazian, a KOTC champion, enters the UFC with a three-fight win streak and eight victories in his past nine fights. The California-based fighter has won his past four fights (and eight of 14 overall) via decision.
Easton fights for the second time under the UFC banner. The Alliance MMA and Team LLoyd Irvin product debuted for the promotion at this past October's UFC on Versus 6 event, where he earned a TKO over replacement opponent Byron Bloodworth. The once-beaten Easton carries a six-fight win streak into the contest.
Pineda, meanwhile, is the reigning featherweight and lightweight champion of the Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championships organization. The former Bellator fighter most recently used a slick spinning backfist to earn a TKO victory over Gilbert Jimenez. He's won five straight fights and seven of his past eight.
He takes on Schilling , a two-year pro who's racked up five first-round victories in five career wins against lower-level competitors. He currently trains with Ambition MMA in Eagan, Minn.

Injury forces Ken Stone out of UFC on FX 1 bout
Just days after he was announced as part of this month's UFC on FX 1 event, Ken Stone has been forced off the card with an undisclosed injury.
UFC officials today announced a search is underway for a replacement for Stone (10-3), who was slated to fight bantamweight Mike Easton (11-1).
It was the final fight added to the night's FX-televised main card.
UFC on FX 1 takes place Jan. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. In addition to the main card, prelims are expected to air on FUEL TV.
Stone was set to return to the cage after scoring a technical-submission win over Donny Walker at this past September's UFC Fight Night 25 event. The much-needed victory snapped a two-fight losing streak for Stone, who had dealt with back-to-back knockout losses to Scott Jorgensen and Eddie Wineland (at WEC 53 and the TUF 13 Finale, respectively).Source: mmajunkie.com
