UFC newcomer Joey Gambino (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has replaced Jimmy Hettes (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and now meets fellow featherweight Steven Siler (20-9 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at UFC on FX 4.

Siler posted news of the change on his Facebook page, though the reason for Hettes' removal wasn't mentioned.

UFC executives have not formally announced the change to the card, which takes place June 22 at Revel Atlantic City in New Jersey.

The main card airs on FX, and Silver vs. Gambino is slated for the FUEL TV-televised prelims.

"Super" Siler has earned back-to-back victories in the UFC after scoring decision wins over Cole Miller and Josh Clopton, the latter of which was part of The Ultimate Fighter Finale 14 Finale. The 25-year-old, who posted a quarterfinal-round finish on the reality show, is now 15-2 in his past 17 fights, and the lone losses came to notables Cole Escovedo and Chad Mendes in regional competition.

Gambino is one of the 145-pound division's top prospects. The fighter, who earned stoppages in his first eight career wins, most recently concluded a title run in the New Jersey-based Cage Fury Fighting Championships with victories over Eddie Fyvie and Kenny Foster that propelled the 23-year-old Tristar Gym member to a UFC contract.

The full UFC on FX 4 card now includes:

    Clay Guida vs. Gray Maynard
    Spencer Fisher vs. Sam Stout
    Brian Ebersole vs. T.J. Waldburger
    Ross Pearson vs. Cub Swanson

Ken Stone vs. Edwin Figueroa added to UFC on FX 4

A bantamweight bout between Ken Stone (10-3) and Edwin Figueroa (9-1) is the latest addition to this summer's UFC on FX 4 card.

Stone returns to the cage after what will be nine-month layoff. The onetime WEC fighter made his promotional debut at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Scott Jorgensen. The loss was part of a 1-3 skid for the American Top Team fighter. However, he rebounded this past September at UFC Fight Night 25, where he choked Donny Walker unconscious for his 10th stoppage victory in 10 fights. A planned January bout with Mike Easton was scratched when Stone was forced off the card with an injury.

Figueroa, meanwhile, debuted with the UFC a year and dropped a decision to fast-rising Michael McDonald. However, the Texan since has rebounded with a TKO of Jason Reinhardt at UFC on Versus 6 and a split-decision victory over Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres at UFC 143. The Cacares victory was a contentious one, though; Figueroa's opponent was deducted two points for illegal groin kicks in the February fight.

Injury forces Ken Stone out of UFC on FX 1 bout

Just days after he was announced as part of this month's UFC on FX 1 event, Ken Stone has been forced off the card with an undisclosed injury.

UFC officials today announced a search is underway for a replacement for Stone (10-3), who was slated to fight bantamweight Mike Easton (11-1).

It was the final fight added to the night's FX-televised main card.

UFC on FX 1 takes place Jan. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. In addition to the main card, prelims are expected to air on FUEL TV.

Stone was set to return to the cage after scoring a technical-submission win over Donny Walker at this past September's UFC Fight Night 25 event. The much-needed victory snapped a two-fight losing streak for Stone, who had dealt with back-to-back knockout losses to Scott Jorgensen and Eddie Wineland (at WEC 53 and the TUF 13 Finale, respectively).
