As professional MMA fighters go, Scott Fairlamb’s name is not the one you’ll recognize when reading the roster of AMA Fight Club in northern New Jersey. Jim and Dan Miller, Charlie Brenneman and Ricardo Romero fight in the UFC Octagon. Andy Main has graced Spike TV on The Ultimate Fighter.
In relative anonymity, Fairlamb battles a different enemy, and in just over a week will be in the cage himself. When he fights in New Jersey on April 22 in UCC 4, Fairlamb’s body will be battling CML – Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
In a stunning show of camaraderie, Williams, who will be in the cage six days before at CFFC 7, will donate his entire purse to Fairlamb, and AMA Fight Club boss Mike Constantino will match Williams’ effort.
Fairlamb, with help from Williams and Constantino, shared his story with MMADieHards.com.
Scott Fairlamb needs more than the help of Williams and Constantino in his struggle to overcome CML. One way is to attend his fight at UCC 4: Supremacy on April 22 at Mennen Sports Arena (161 East Hanover Ave., Morristown, NJ) against Mo Fowzi.
