Maximum Fighting Championship 27: Breaking Point (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Nov. 12)

Douglas Lima (17-4) claimed the vacant MFC welterweight title with a third round triangle armbar submission of Strikeforce and Bellator veteran Jesse Juarez (15-6)…Ryan Ford (13-3) defeated UFC and Strikeforce veteran Pete Spratt (21-19) via rear-naked choke in the second round. The win was Ford’s second over Spratt, and both victories have come by way of the rear-naked choke…Dwayne Lewis (12-5) squeaked by with a split decision win over UFC veteran Razak Al-Hassan (11-3)…UFC veteran Rodney Wallace (10-3) stepped in as a late replacement for Glover Teixeira and earned a unanimous decision over UFC vet David Heath (16-7)…Kajan Johnson (18-11-1) dominated Strikeforce and WEC veteran Ryan Healy (19-9-1) to take a lopsided unanimous decision win. One judge even scored the bout 30-25 in Johnson’s favor.

Australian Fighting Championships 1 (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; Nov. 12)
UFC and Strikeforce veteran Jesse Taylor (17-6) locked in a guillotine choke that rendered Dylan Andrews (11-4) unconscious in the first round…TUF 7 alum Jeremy May (8-7) claimed a disqualification victory over Ross Dallow (5-7). Cageside officials detected an illegal substance on Dallow’s skin following the first round, leading to the DQ…TUF 9 alum Richie Whitson (9-1) knocked Masaya Doi (5-6-4) out in the first round.

Fight to Win: The Professionals (Denver, Colo.; Nov. 12)
Pride Fighting Championships US auditions winner Tyrone Glover (5-0) returned to action for the first time since a 2005 decision victory over Din Thomas. Glover locked in an armbar to submit Nick Buschman (4-9) in the first round…TUF 10 alum Abe Wagner (7-3) scored a first round TKO of Vinny Pallone (0-1).

Seconds Out/Vivid MMA: Combat on Capital Hill 4 (St. Paul, Minn.; Nov. 12)
Mike Richman (9-0) remained undefeated with a first round rear-naked choke submission of Mike Lindquist (6-19).

Worldwide Gladiator Championships (Pasadena, Tex.; Nov. 12)
WEC and Dream veteran Todd Moore (13-4) scored a second round TKO of Lee King (13-15-1).

Xtreme Fight Night: Rosholt vs. Horwich (Tulsa, Okla.; Nov. 12)
In a fight that made Sherdog’s list of 10 November Tussles Worth Watching, UFC and IFL veteran Matt Horwich (27-17-1) scored a third round TKO of UFC and WEC vet Jake Rosholt (7-3).

Jeremy Peterson (11-3-1) submitted TUF 11 alum Kyacey Uscola (22-17) via a second round shoulder choke…Radley Martinez (8-1) scored a third round TKO, due to doctor’s stoppage, of UFC veteran Joe Brammer (7-3-1)…Koffi Adzitso (13-5) knocked UFC veteran Kevin Burns (9-5) out in the first round…TUF 5 alum Brandon Melendez (25-17) submitted Tallon Torres (3-2) in the first round via armbar…TUF 11 alum Joseph Henle (4-0-1) locked in a rear-naked choke for the second round submission victory over Sean O’Connell (9-4).

Brace for War 6 (Townsville, Queensland, Australia; Nov. 13)
Bellator and ShoXC veteran Tony Lopez (20-5) secured a rear-naked choke in the second round to submit UFC vet Brad Morris (10-6).

Bulgarian MMA Federation: Warriors 17 (Ruse, Bulgaria; Nov. 13)
Emil Zahariev (11-4-1) scored a first round TKO of Reinaldo Fuzil (2-3)…Svetoslav Savov (7-0) maintained his unblemished record with a first round guillotine choke submission of Nikolay Krastev (0-3).

Proud Warriors Productions 2 (Cronulla, New South Wales, Australia; Nov. 13)
Bernardo Magalhaes (10-1) earned a unanimous decision over Johnavan Vistante Jr. (1-1).

Ringside MMA 9: Payback (Montreal, Quebec, Canada; Nov. 13)
IFL veteran Chris Clements (7-4) scored a second round knockout of UFC veteran Jonathan Goulet (23-12) to capture the vacant Ringside MMA welterweight crown. Goulet hinted at possible retirement after the fight.

Shogun Fights III (Baltimore; Nov. 13)
TUF 9 alum Frank Lester (5-4) scored a TKO victory over Kevin Killian (1-1).

World Ultimate Full Contact: Memorial 6 (Switzerland; Nov. 13)
Rafael Silva (32-12) scored a first round knockout of Sebastien Borcard (0-1).

Caribbean Gladiators: Caribbean Challenge (Portmore, Jamaica; Nov. 14)
Olympic silver medalist wrestler Sara McMann (2-0 amateur) will have to wait a little longer to make her pro debut. After a one week postponement of the fights, McMann’s original opponent, Monique Henry, backed out of the scheduled bout. The promoter found a replacement opponent, but it was then discovered that the cage was unsafe to fight in, resulting in the cancellation of the entire event.
