Exclusive: John Howard vs. Jake Ellenberger set for UFC VS 2

Despite fans wanting to see Rumble next, John Howard is set to take on Jake Ellenberger next.

MMADiehards.com has confirmed that welterweight John “Doomsday” Howard will face Jake Ellenberger on Aug. 1 as part of the UFC on Versus 2 card in Salt Lake City. Howard is coming off of a brutal knockout victory over Daniel Roberts on UFC on Versus 1. He has won seven straight fights, including his last four in the UFC. Ellenberger is coming off of a win over Mike Pyle at UFC 108. He has been victorious in five of his last six fights.
